Harriet Redfern

Harriet worked for almost forty years in senior management roles in the UK Higher Education sector. Her passion for National Hunt racing was originally inspired by watching televised race meetings whilst ironing on winter Saturday afternoons. This distraction from the household chores soon became a serious pastime and included a brief period of racehorse ownership. Harriet is also a qualified pilot and aircraft owner.

Harriet started writing following her retirement from the university world, after which she lived in Cheltenham and later in Cyprus. Married to a cyber security expert, she has combined the knowledge gained from her professional experience, pastimes and interests to create the fascinating characters and events to be found in the four books of the Kat’s Gift horseracing crime thriller series and now at the University of Babylon.
